It would be really helpful to switch to Google Street view and see the projected path of the sun for a given day mapped across the sky. This could be just like the present map view which displays an arch representing the sun's position through the day. In this case the same data would be applied in a 3 dimensional sense and allow one to see the mapped path from a street view or "real" perspective.
