summer and winter position of the sun for solar

I would like summer and winter positions of the sun for solar heating of my house.If I build a veranda at the front of the house I want it short enough not to block the sun in winter to allow the sun in the window to heat up the concerete in the lounge as it does now so the house is warm all night(passive solar_ and cool the house in summer when the sun is elevated, the veranda should block the sun.

This is also important for green houses and many other solar applications
