Historic temperature for date & time shown for map pin location

Hi Mourner,

I *love* this site/app and have wondered for some time how to see/get this information. I believe the only way it could be improved would be to add the historic temperature for the pin marker's location based on the date and time in the top slider bar. That information is probably available free from the US National Weather Service, or from Wunderground (via partnership, maybe?), but would add a nice layer of depth to an already cool site.

Thanks SO much for this site, no matter what you decide you can/can't add.
