Report a bug: 8/9/18 USA 33.6 lat to 9/28/18

Looking at Austin, TX during 8/9/18-9/28/18 the sunset angle disappears. Moving north to Lat 33.78, the angle highlight reappears. Anomaly appears to be consistent across the southern US and Mexico.

Calculate the sunlight intensity or lux values

You can show the sunlight intensity by location and time of day in Watts/m2 or Lux.

The link to "Weather Forecast" in the lower right-hand corner is blocking the "minus" button to zoom the map out.

Add capability to "hide" or move the "Weather Forecast" link so that you can zoom the map out. Right now all I can do is zoom in, but can't zoom back out again. Thanks!

Weather bug in lower right of the screen is a problem

The "Weather Forecast" bug in the lower right side of the screen obscures the "zoom out" function of the map.. So you can zoom in all you want, but you have to find the little sliver of zoom out or just restart.. It's a royal pain, can you fix it...

Have an API to access from any platform

it would be very helpfull if you can provide an api through http request to get info about sun position.

Add sketch up models as like google earth

It would be useful if Architects could add Sketch Up models like Google Earth to give a better idea of sun paths and shadows.

Get rid of "weather report" and other extraneous blocks

"Weather report" covers zoom buttons for me. "About" and "Ideas" cover parts of the map. Get rid of them.

know what degrees the sun sets a rises at location

I want to know the directional angle the sun sets or rises compared to true north. Also, I would like to know the declination of magnetic north. I have measured about 8 degrees at my location at equinox.

report a bug

This is a great program! But there seems to be a bug: the line showing the sunset is not appearing ~ Aug 10-Sept 26 (I forget the exact dates) on a few locations in California (USA) that I tried.

Sunset line disappears between 13 Aug and 28 Sep

Testing on 26 Jul 2018, the sunset direction line disappeared for dates selected from 13 Aug through 28 Sep, 2018. Didn't check other years.

have the sunrise/sunset lines much longer

The sunrise and sunset lines need to be much longer so they can cover areas of bodies of water. I would like to see it longer so I can see the coverage of land for line of sight to sunrise or sunset. Great software/application!

See the sunrise and sunset in aeronautical heading

Aeronautical headings would be extremely useful for drone pilots planning missions that capture sunsets and sunrises.

be able to set the time zone

it seems it is using the time zone so if I look at other countries the sun hours are not quite right (there is night when should be day)

two suggestions

Nice app! It seems that the time is shown for the time zone of my computer location (Eastern) and not the location that I am looking at (Pacific). It would also be nice to be able to drag the trajectory to see dates when the trajectory is different.

Get the sunset line back

First off, great tool...I use this often to plan photography outings. Maybe this is just a bug or maybe it's my browsers but there used to be three lines: Sunrise, Sun path to center and Sunset. The sunset line seems to be missing now.

We need a terrain profile

Our sunrise is when the sun goes up from behind mountains or hills in the east, NOT when it goes up over the level horizon. In mountainous regions that can make a huge difference. Therefore, we need a terrain profile to take this into calculation.
