A little online application with interactive map that shows sun movement and sunlight phases (with dawn, sunrise, sunset and dusk times) during the given day at the given location.
Love the app, thanks for it. Unfortunately, when I select a site, I need to know the time difference to properly calculate sunrise and sunset. I can't think of a reason for me to believe that the sun set today in Manhattan at 3:08PM.
When trying to find out a shadow line from an object to another object such as a solar panel, the presentation provided does not provide a true shadow line if the objects are at different elevations due to parallax. From a view directly above the...
I would like to save multiple sites and see them all at one time with notes on each site. I am a photographer and this would help me with keeping track of all my great hidden spots around town.
This would be one of the best tools for photographers if you add milky way and moon positions. It does not need a lot of changes, just this new functionality.
the shadow for a point is nice, however it would be great to implement polygon plotting feature, where user could plot an object and specify its height...good for finding the best place for my solar in between neighbour houses
When I rotate the 3D view of the map, the sun position arc stays where it is, so it is only accurate when the map is facing "north up". I'd like to be able to rotate the map, and still see the sun angles accurately.
I use suncalc in my architecture studies.. I always end up spending time taking the sunpath as a screenshot, removing the map data, putting it over my mappings, then redrawing the sunpath using SunCalc's as a guide so that I have a scalable SVG to...
i sliding meter similar to the time of day meter that controls the day of the year would be extremely useful. Since i work in the solar energy field, being able to show people the sun exposure through different times of the year would be of great...
I would need the sun trajectory lines to take elevation of terrain into consideration as well. I could then see how sun conditions are at a specific place on earth. Useful tool when considering a where to buy a house (one wouldn't consider to by a...
If I want for the sun to align with a certain landmark, street, etc... I want to be able to just draw a line and get the closest date that fits that sun angle.
Then To be able to get closest to fits before/after a certain hour (for sunset, surise)
The 'About Suncalc' panel and the link to the weather forecast on the bottom right have been positioned over some of the Google maps controls making it awkward to zoom out or switch to a different map type. Please reposition them,
If location is near the ocean, would be nice to be able to see high and low tides along with sun location.
This would be beneficial to photographers like me.
Thanks

Amazing app! I am using Firefox on a PC and the map zoom out is almost covered with the weather tab.
Also, is it possible to show bearing of the sun? useful for setting up satellite dishes and solar panels when we know where the sun is at a time...
