time clock showing time when sliding bar

when you slide the bar for changing the time it would help to have a numerical time box showing exactly the time. i.e.: i want to know what time exactly the sun will peek around the side of my house. or how long will i get sun on the deck etc....

Use my marked maps from google drive

In order to plan a long shooting day, seeing all the locations marked in my google map and the sun direction at the same time, is a wonderful tool.

have a shadow live calc. Based on the mountains

I gues this couldn't be very hard. Google maps api gives heights based on the geology. They could be used to calculate shadow too.

change the time to see late evening or early morni

Change time using slide bar and have the light be impacted Also, the angle of the sun or sun angle should be available on Google interface.

the day in the year I will see solar zenith

Would be great to show when in the year is ‘zero shadow day’ which happens twice a year where I live. Thanks.

Rather than "print screen", I would like to download a more professional looking PDF version please. It is a good addition to the advert for a house sale. Thank you.

View the map in satellite mode like Google Maps.

As a photographer, it would help to see where trees, buildings, and other objects are in relation to the sun. Satellite imagery instead of a virtual map would help tremendously!

Draw rectangles and project their shadow lines.

If you could draw rectangles and position them in 3-space, you could design sun shades and solar arrays rapidly without having to model the subject property.

0 and 360 true north 90 east 180 south 270 west

Forget about magnetic declination to complex and unnecessary for solar designs, you need to know true north. On the outer black circle 0 & 360 degrees for true north, 90d for east 180d true south & 270d for west easy to do and will go with any...

Thank the maker(s) of this site!

Sorry if this unnecessarily clutters the ideas feed, but I would just like to thank the maker(s) of this site! It is very useful and since beginning to use this site, I have caught many more sunsets and sunrises than I used to! It really brings...

Error: 90 degree turn doesnt affect the sun graph!

when zoomed in the map to the site, 3d becomes active. Then 90 degree button is perfect but every time i change angle using it sun graphic doesnt update itself. it automatically turn with the map causing different sunrise sunset lines...

add topology overlay

Add topology map to the satellite overlay. Satellite overlay is wonderful. Add topology layer if possible.

show 2 time lines eg, usual waking hours, 8am-10pm

I am using your excellent site to plan tree planting and look at shading... I want to show the times people are generally awake, so, not sunrise in the summer... if you could help me calculate shadows for different heights of trees, great! ;)

Fix screen layout conflicts w/google

Your Weather forecast link hides google's zoom out icon, and your About SunCalc link partially covers google's Satellite view option on my system (Mac running Safari and Chrome).

The weather forecast link gets in the way of zoom

The weather forecast link gets in the way of zoom - great idea to have it for the current co-ordinates but would be good to move it into it's own area or have it as an option somewhere else. Great website by the way!

I need direction and elevation above horizon (deg)SUGGESTION: in a table for each day/year, as an input for the spreadsheet to manually add PV shading objects around the house.

The purpose is to calculate best orientation for solar hot water and PV systems. The requested direction and elevation above the horizon is the max yield. This is the minimum request (4000+ likes). In practice, topology, nearby trees and man...

If you want to calculate the savigs from having a solar panel it is very useful to know the solar radiation at a certain place.

See sunrise, sunset times shown in local times.
