A little online application with interactive map that shows sun movement and sunlight phases (with dawn, sunrise, sunset and dusk times) during the given day at the given location.
i want to build a roof which is cut out of a sphere that will block the sun for a certain period of the year. like say between april 15 to aug 15. i am in new delhi
If you superimpose a compass over the detail you would be able to see exactly which direction a garden for example is in so you can ascertain how much sun it is likely to get
show the sun position from summer to winter on the 12 to 6 side of a clock and winter to summer on the 6 to 12 side of the clock. The sun position by day could show from 3 to 9 on the dial. The moon could be added as a circle.
The calc is supposed to show user's local time zone time. Yet I get different results if pressing the 'now' button or choosing - say - a 1900 date (in address bar of browser). Sometimes the sun is south at noon, sometimes at 13:20, which is...
To get an idea how sunrise/sunset move over time (e.g. a month) please have 6 dotted lines or small markers along the outer circle starting & ending with the solstices.
Maybe add a button or hotkey to enable / disable this "grid"
your application is a great tool and I like the UI and that no additional SW is needed (unlike TPE)

Your tools is easier to use, especially if you add a bar to quickly...
Just as the time dot (orange) can be dragged, it would be nice to be able to click and drag the orange vector, so that one can se at what time the sun is shining right down my street, so to speak. Thanx for the good work!
Useful to see these; best place probably on the current position line. Also azimuth for sunrise and sunset (when elevation is by definition zero).
Another useful addition would be to clarify what time means; is it local solar time (sun at zenith...
